Honest, quiet, introverted...

"We are not human beings on a spiritual journey. We are spiritual beings on a human journey" ~ Stephen R. Covey

Hello! Now that the hard part is over, I’ll tell you a few things about me and what I am looking for in a partner. I am NOT looking for someone to “make me happy” or to fill any emptiness in my life, but to find the one person who can add to the happiness I already have. We are all responsible for our own happiness. Looks and similar interests are nice, but pale in comparison to Unconditional Love- caring for the happiness of another person without wanting, needing, or expecting anything in return.
Here are a few things about me:
- I am looking for a long-term, committed relationship with marriage being the ultimate goal.

- Intimate communication is important to me. The Real Love books by Dr. Greg Baer teach how to have an honest unconditionally loving relationship. These principles are the foundation for all my relationships A partner should be the #1 priority in my life, as I should be in his. I am looking for someone willing to be open and learn how to practice these principles.

- Part of an intimate relationship is being able to share our mistakes and flaws with each other. I am ready and willing to discuss my mistakes and flaws and am looking for someone who can also share with me what they have learned from their mistakes in life.

- I have a 10 year old daughter. I require a partner who can love her like his daughter, and I would love your children as my own. I am open to the possibility of having more children.

- I have 3 cats, 1 dog, and 2 guinea pigs, that are family, so animal lovers are welcome!

- I am an active member in the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, a Secular Buddhist and Humanist, and an Existentialist along the lines of Emerson and Thoreau. As a UU I respect your spiritual beliefs, and expect you to respect mine.

- I love reading, hiking, and a good board or card game. I enjoy a good movie now and again, but prefer other activities in general.

- I am introverted, so intimate gatherings and quieter, peaceful settings are best for me.

This is what I am looking for in a partner:

- Is drug free including tobacco and cigarettes and who can accept and ideally support my holistic dietary lifestyle, drinking on special occasions is acceptable

- loves to be around children and can psychologically and emotionally handle special-needs children due to my work

- is willing to make me their #1 priority.

- is willing to read Real Love by Dr Greg Baer and practice the principles

- does not use guns or have them around their house
